General Hospital Comings and Goings: Steve Burton Back as Jason “Stone Cold” Morgan
General Hospital (GH) spoilers for the week of March 4, 2024 reveal that the day fans have been waiting years for has finally arrived. Steve Burton departed ways with the show when ABC required all employees to get the Covid-19 vaccination. Burton declined, as did Ingo Rademacher (Jasper Jacks) and both were let go.
Burton left without rancor while Rademacher later sued the network over his firing. It’s doubtful Rademacher will return to the daytime drama, but it was a no-brainer that Burton would one day return. Let’s find out when Stone Cold will be back onscreen.

Steve Burton reprises his role as Jason Morgan on Monday, March 4. Jason’s return is shrouded in mystery, as befits one of the most enigmatic soap characters the screen has ever seen. Burton exited the soap in 2021.
It was not the first time he left for another soap. Burton left GH at one point in time and was signed to a three year contract by CBS’s The Young and the Restless. He played Dylan MacAvoy, a love interest for Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case).

Dylan did not catch on with fans in the same way that Jason did, but Burton’s portrayal of the med student/mob assassin is unique in the history of soaps.
This time out, when Burton departed GH he went back to Peacock’s Days of our Lives, where he made his soap debut decades ago as Harris Michaels.
In January Burton announced he was leaving DOOL and hours later confirmed his return to GH.

On Monday, March 4 Lydia Look is back as mobstress Selina Wu. Selina interacts with Sony Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
Sonny and Selina are in the sights of an assassin who is killing off mobsters left and right. Could it be that Jason is the shooter? He has deadly aim, and interestingly enough the shooter has managed to miss Sonny on two separate occasions.
