The Young and the Restless (Y&R) promo for the week of September 18 teases that Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) has eyes for Chance Chancellor (Connor Floyd). She wants Chance, but there’s a roadblock to a relationship with him – Sharon!
Sharon tells Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) that she gets the feeling that someone is after Chance. She isn’t sure how to feel about it. Mariah inquires who could have the hots for the cop. Sharon finally admits that it’s Summer.

Mariah tells her mom that she hates that Summer could ruin what she has with Chance. She’s finally happy after losing Rey Rosales (Jordi Viilasuso) suddenly. Sharon admits she’s not sure how to define her relationship with Chance.
All she knows is she’s enjoying it while it lasts and not taking it too seriously. Sharon plans to focus on her new business venture and let things happen naturally with Chance.
At Crimson Lights, Summer chats with Daniel Romalotti, Jr. (Michael Grazaidei) about her love life. She admits she’s ready to move on, but there’s a problem – the person she’s into is with someone else.
Daniel asks her to identify the mystery man. Finally, Summer admits that she has developed feelings for Chance, which makes Daniel chuckle. He finds it funny, considering the hard time Chance gave her for lying about hiding Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) out after faking her death to frame Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters).

Summer admits that she and Kyle called a truce. They want to do right by Harrison Abbott Locke (Kellen Enriquez). With that situation under control, Summer’s ready to move on with her life and weigh her dating options.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say that Summer tells Daniel she cannot believe she finally meets someone she really likes, and he’s unavailable. She wonders how serious Sharon and Chance’s relationship is.
Daniel warns his sister not to cause trouble. He fears that she’s going down a path that could have serious consequences.
