The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) is attacking the Abbott family. The intensity of his plan is real but is he acting alone?

Devoted soap fans know Tucker’s history and his attempt to regain Ashley Abbott’s (Eileen Davidson) trust. So, if he truly failed and his remarriage to her imploded epically then yes, Tucker would be bent on revenge.

However, viewers were fed a storyline that stretched for months where Ashley, who recently added McCall to her last name, drove the truck. She wanted to break from her family and Tucker supported her. But they also combined to push a ruse where they wanted to one-up Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) who recently, gleefully added Abbott to her name.

Considering the explosive backstory that Ashley and Tucker share, it is reasonable to believe the halted story St. John’s character told and the details Ashley provided to Jack. Yet, the aftermath of this claimed collapse is weird.

Why did TPTB not show the audience a real-time version of what Tucker and Ashley claim was their blowout? If that had happened, there would be no questions.

Only showing the verbal argument through a brief retrospect, in the crisp new-style black and white form, creates doubt. It could be that Ashley has realized Tucker has not changed but this pairing could also be following through on their attempt to take control of Jabot.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Jack Abbott Is Convinced Otherwise

Jack and Ashley had a good talk before she left town. They resolved their latest differences.

Bergman’s character also knows that Ashley was impacted by his new wife performing the Heimlich maneuver, which is still aptly dubbed. Diane’s saving her life seemingly convinced Ashley that she could push that longtime grudge.

So, Jack thought or was being conditioned to think that Ashley turned a soapy corner and was dropping her hostility toward Diane.

Tucker’s calls to Ashley, where he first left an angry message and then, moments later, left another blurb where he rhetorically asked how they got to where they were, appears to resolve any doubt.

Ashley would not authorize Tucker to set Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) for a takedown by using Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford). So, Tucker does appear to be freelancing, meaning that he is working alone.

It would seem that Tucker will be hard to stop. But the one person in the world who could do that cold would be Ashley on Y&R.
