But what could Taylor do, other than tell Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) that she loved him? The recast character that Allen has given new life to also advised Ridge to consider all aspects of the broken friendship pact that made it appear Brooke was the victim, rather than someone who Taylor believed shared responsibility.

Brooke’s smile has launched a thousand ships and nearly as many marriages to Ridge. Devoted fans know that Lang’s role as the lead female character on this soap dates back to the show’s origin in 1987.

Day one viewers know that Brooke and Ridge fell in love at first sight. But Ridge did not marry Brooke first. That nuptial to Taylor was one of two marriages.

Brooke’s hold on Ridge is something Taylor has not been able to overcome across the decades. Brooke held onto that history since holding her breath when Ridge nearly remarried Taylor months ago.

There is nothing else Taylor could have done except, well, tell Ridge that Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson), framed Brooke. But even that might not have allowed the second remarriage to Ridge to have happened.

Viewers could see a scenario where even if Taylor had relayed what she learned about Thomas before the remarriage ceremony, he still would have postponed the ceremony. Alternatively, there is no way to know if the remarriage would have proven sustainable even if it happened.

Taylor’s doubts about Ridge’s lingering feelings for Brooke were the reason why she did not tell him about Thomas’ use of the voice-altering application. That mindset did not reflect trust. So, Taylor probably avoided a delayed reaction to heartbreak.

Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Ridge Forrester Is Used To Both

Ridge knows that he can reconcile with Brooke because there was no other man in her life. Despite her other options, Brooke was waiting for Ridge to realize that their love is eternal.

Taylor does not have that same confidence because Ridge’s actions caused her to live in a constant state of doubt. She will be better off if, after learning about Ridge and Brooke’s reunion, Taylor moves on permanently.
