Late last month, Sasha Corbin returned to General Hospital. Fans believe she deserves some happiness in her life. The actress returned from maternity leave. However, her character didn’t return on a happy footing. It turns out that Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) hired her to play the part of Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) long-lost daughter.
Sasha was so lonely that she ended up loving her fake mom. Nina was the only person she can count on since the death of her grandmother. Sasha has dealt with many blows ever since. Her love life has been less than stellar as well. Some fans rooted for Sasha’s return. They hoped that the character would finally get her happy ending.
“I understand that Sofia needs to be written off for maternity leave, but my gosh, what the heck? Couldn’t they come up with a nicer way to write her out for a while? It looks like Sasha will end up in another traumatic situation. The General Hospital spoilers suggest that Cyrus will end up saving her life. This speculation was started by the user TinkerTailor on the SoapCentral.com Message Boards.
“Are they going to put Cyrus into Ferncliff with Sasha, and then have him protect her and save her?” the user wondered.
GH fans believe this is Cyrus’s chance to redeem himself. The spoilers also hint that Cyrus is Sasha’s biological father. Others noted there was a time when Cyrus assaulted Sasha when he fed her drugs. However, it was never implied. Only that he abused her when she was drugged out of her mind. It doesn’t seem logical that he would do this to his daughter, but crazier things have happened on the daytime soap.
