The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) had a good talk, based on Traci Abbott’s (Beth Maitland) successful urging. But that does not mean their family power struggle has magically ended.

Instead, a quieter more nuanced plod ahead may be happening. Ashley’s tell to Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) still centers on wanting to rid Genoa City, Wisconsin, of the Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) monster.

Jack does not trust Tucker. That gutfeel exists because he cheated on Ashley with Diane. Wronging his sister and renewed love interest is not something Jack is planning to forgive.

Jack currently heads Jabot with his returned brother, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). Ashley used foul language when referring to Billy’s adherence to Jack’s ruling hand.

Some viewers may have noticed their terse exchange inside Jabot’s executive suite and some other harsh comments characters made during the same episode reflected a new, more course, writing direction. In any regard, Ashley was not pleased Billy was sticking by Jack.

Ashley intended to use influence with the Board of Directors to push Jack out. She would like to take over to blunt whatever plans Jack has to elevate Diane.

A covered smile is seen on old-school viewers’ faces when they hear terms like CTO, chief talent officer. The modern world’s appeasement of corporate egos needing to be stroked has produced a plethora of haughty titles.

Diane recently told Jack that she wants to be Jabot’s CTO. He found that idea to be appealing.

But this couple first needs to handle the crumbled marriage inside the Abbott pool house, as Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) asks Summer Newman Abbott (Allison Lanier) to move out.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Ashley Abbott Is Determined To Save The Company

Ashley is fighting for something Jack is not. She sees Diane as an existential threat to the future of the company.

Davidson’s character has not given up on Jack eventually realizing that his perceived love is bad for business and him. In the meantime, Ashley does not plan to let her oldest brother make the decisions.

Tucker’s presence is significant. He has business savvy, while also helping to keep Ashley in check. His plan is for them to run a company together, and that could be Jabot on Y&R.
