Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that viewers need to brace themselves for a huge plot twist set to unravel in Genoa City.
The week of October 16th, Phyllis Summers will reveal to Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) that she knows all about the partnership between him and Mamie Johnson (Veronica Redd), and the scene promises to be explosive.
Josh Griffith, Y&R’s Co-Executive Producer/Head Writer talks to Soap Opera Digest (SOD) about this pivotal moment within a very complex storyline.
Y&R spoilers for the week of October 16th hint that while Phyllis is celebrating her first day at Omega Sphere and her new “fresh start” in life with Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei), at GCAC. Of course, Tucker will see the two and summon Red to his suite.
Griffith tells SOD that Tucker still believes he has power over Phyllis, so he’ll be in quite a shock when he realizes that he doesn’t.
When he commends her for following orders, she’ll bite back with the proof she has about a partnership between him and Mamie. She’ll remind him that this alliance is likely something she doesn’t want Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James), Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), and Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) to find out about.
What happens next?
Josh goes on to say that during this scene, Tucker tries to stay calm and assess exactly what Phyllis knows and what she’s going to do with this information.
Meanwhile, he also notes to SOD that Red is looking for a fresh start and doesn’t want anyone to mess with these plans, especially McCall. Griffith states that in the weeks again, Y&R viewers will see these two embroiled in a tug-of-war feud over power, with a stunning end result.
