Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) is responsible for Audra’s resurgent connection with Kyle. She split from him after being warned by Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) that her job at Newman Media would be lost.

However, Tucker suffered a loss when his renewed wife balked at founding Simply Ashley. Ashley Abbott McCall’s (Eileen Davidson) decision during their honeymoon infuriated Tucker and caused him to form a revenge plan that included Audra.

Audra recently learned that Tucker believes Kyle is the key to creating dissension at Jabot. Mealor’s character recently told his mother that he wants back into the family business but only if his father reappoints him as co-Chief Executive Officer.

Tucker’s calculations involve mining the Abbott family’s penchant for drama. He is attacking Jabot as a means of getting back at Ashley.

The deflection Tucker intends includes using Audra’s high appeal to lure Kyle into the plan. Supposedly, he would help Audra run Jabot.

Why would Nikki not have already fired Audra? She has the power to do so as the new head of Newman Media.

Audra’s defiance of Nikki’s order happened at Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) and Diane Jenkins Abbott’s (Susan Walters) vow renewal ceremony in the Abbot mansion’s resplendent backyard. Viewers who were anticipating Nikki axing Audra immediately have not seen it happen.

Tucker is a hard guy to work for. But he seems to be Audra’s preferred option over Nikki, with the co-head of Jabot also being a much bigger plum than existing as an underling at Newman Enterprises until an inevitable digital pink slip is received anyway.

So, Audra is behaving like someone who has nothing to lose and bigger prizes to gain, meaning a better job, and Kyle.

Kyle coldly cut Summer out of his life. Someone who truly loves another person would not have done so in such a cavalier fashion. It is not a stretch to believe he might select self-interest over his family by conspiring with Audra and Tucker.

But Kyle behaved like a hurt boy, reflecting the scars Diane created in his heart and mind during childhood when she faked being murdered by Nikki. Audra offered easy and delightful refuge.

While Kyle and Audra entered their relationship casually, it seems like feelings are developing between them. So, Tucker’s gambit in using Audra to draw Kyle into his game has serious potential on Y&R.
