The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) accurately assessed Tucker McCall’s (Trevor St. John) state of mind after speaking with Ashley Abbott McCall (Eileen Davidson). A spurned-husband seeks to retaliate against the Abbott family.

Jabot is the Abbott family. For whatever reason, Tucker wanted to pull Ashley away from it and therefore, her family.

But Ashley told Jack that she had a moment of clarity in Paris, France. Tucker’s passionately negative reaction to her not wanting to start Simply Ashley with him and instead remaining at Jabot was taken as an act of betrayal.

There was a great lead-in to Ashley and Tucker reconciling. While it felt inevitable, there was also reasonable doubt in the minds of her family and the audience if it would happen.

Ashley’s hesitancy throughout Tucker’s entire second-time efforts to earn her trust implied deep misgivings. Her demeanor also implied that she was mostly using him as a means of needling Jack and Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters).

If, as Tucker and Ashley have been telling people, their marriage collapsed, then no hope for a future would seem to exist. That indicates an inevitable divorce unless their mutually pliable moods swing otherwise.

Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) was the mole Tucker planted inside Chancellor-Winters. But after that plan did not come to fruition and Tucker committed himself to fidelity with Ashley, Audra was out.

Silver’s character also felt that it was time to move on from Tucker. His sale of McCall Unlimited to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) spelled the end of any plausible business connection and she dug in at Newman Media.

However, Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) appointment as Audra’s boss spelled trouble. So, Audra is looking to keep her options open, which made Tucker’s offer to work with him again appealing.

Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) has a plan. He wants to further the ruse about being on the outs with Jack.

But Billy’s pointed conversation with Tucker, at the entrance of the Genoa City Athletic Club, did not go smoothly. Tucker clearly doubts Billy and has not taken the bait.

Jack is concerned that Billy could be caught in the crossfire, believing Tucker is aiming for him. Ashley’s turn away from Tucker tags Jack as the villain who needs to be taken down on Y&R.
