Summer and Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) were endangered by learning their mother was alive. Phyllis’ freedom was also jeopardized when Daniel did the right thing and shared the shocking news that she was not murdered.

This storyline is trending toward Phyllis either surrendering to the authorities or being captured. Her recent smartphone video chat with Summer reinforces that Phyllis does not want her children to be entangled in her legal issues.

Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) believes that Diane must be stopped using any means necessary. If remarrying Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) helps to accomplish that goal, then so be it.

Jack can not comprehend why Ashley will not live and let live, especially when considering Tucker’s history. But Davidson’s character sees it differently.

Like Phyllis, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), and others, Ashley sees Ashley as a threat to Jack. But Ashley also believes that Diane’s potential ascendancy at Jabot could lead to the end of the family business.

Diane pitched an idea to Jack. She would like a position of prominence at Jabot.

Jack was open to the idea because he is in love. Diane’s critics, of which there are many, have to give the lady a backhanded compliment. She has achieved a great deal since shedding the Taylor Jensen persona just last year.

One wonders how Diane would be qualified to lead the talent at Jabot. Other than having Jack’s heart, Diane’s credentials are lacking.

But the intended Mrs. Abbott is not shy about seeking power. She is emboldened by seeing one of her enemies, Phyllis, on the run and another, Ashley, reacting to every move she makes on Y&R.
