Viewers and connected characters were skeptical about this friendship agreement. It defied logic and included both ladies deciding that Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) exerted power over them for decades.
The truth is that Taylor, Brooke, and Ridge always had free will and used it. Each person’s desire to seek individual happiness and a combined reckless disregard that the dysfunctional triangle had on their family members created all the drama.
Ridge was willing to turn away from his supposed soul mate by intending to remarry Taylor. But he reneged on his promise to do so when learning that she did not tell him the truth about their son’s actions.
Thomas Forrester’s (Matthew Atkinson) dastardly scheme to frame Brooke by using a voice-altering application was exposed moments before Taylor was to descend the stairs at the Forrester mansion. The wedding ceremony was halted before the vows were finalized because Thomas’ behavior and Taylor’s cover of it were exposed.
Nevertheless, Ridge has made eyes at Taylor in recent months and has kissed Brooke. He wants companionship and is not conflicted by issues that came between him and the two women he loved during his life in Los Angeles, California.
Brooke has many loves, though Ridge tops them all. Underneath the man one of Brooke’s loves, Bill Spencer (Don Diamont), often referred to as the dressmaker, is Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan).
Kanan’s character also ranks below a few other men Brooke has adored, including Eric Forrester (John McCook), and Nick Marone (Jack Wagner). But Deacon has not been deterred in believing he could reconcile with her.
A recent conversation between Deacon and Brooke at Il Giardino resulted in Lang’s character determining that Taylor was undermining their pact. Brooke confronts Taylor, who responds with physicality. Ridge will be part of the scene as well.
Taylor was at her office when Brooke invited herself in. The ladies exchanged barbs, and then Taylor let her have it.
Referencing Hope Spencer’s (Annika Noelle) flirtatious behavior toward Thomas as connected to Logan blood represented the soapy gauntlet being thrown across the set. The next episodes increased the fight, with this long-time rivalry reignited on B&B.

Give Taylor some back bone. Brooke & Ridge deserve each other. Taylor has been second too long. Find a new love. Stop being an easy go to. He doesn’t know what he wants and is just using her. Brooke will get bored soon enough. Ridge will never wake up. Don’t give him any more power. I know this is just a soap but it’s getting rusty Taylor deserves happiness
