The consistent contact Steffy and Finn maintained and his determination to right his family life so they could reunite at the cliff house were all positive signs.

Meanwhile, Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) has been making changes in her life in hopes of building on what she perceives as progress with Finn.

There are no doubts about Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan). He fell in love with Sheila when they first got together last fall.

Brown’s character identified Deacon as a kindred spirit. He did not go along with her assessment during their initial get-togethers that centered on her efforts to be part of Finn’s life and Deacon’s desire to build his life after being released from prison.

Sheila’s references to having money have never been detailed, leaving open the possibility that she is a silent financier of Il Giardino.

Whether that proves true or not, Sheila loves Deacon and sees him as the one person in the world who is willing to offer her compassion and a true second chance.

Steffy did not doubt her husband’s love or his role as a father. But she did believe that Sheila held unbreakable power over him and that was the problem that sent her to live with the children in Europe.

Finn faces a conundrum because he allowed Sheila to know that he does have feelings for her. But he also forcefully told her, when she arrived unannounced at the cliff house, that was not allowed.

Sheila did leave but has reiterated to Deacon that she will be part of Finn’s life and wants contact with his son and her grandson, Hayes Forrester Finnegan (Alexander and Chase Banks).

Getting herself back on track was step one. That mission was accomplished, and Steffy knows that she needs to do more than send a message to Sheila.

The problems Steffy has with Sheila go well beyond any stereotypical in-law issues. Sheila has shot various people, including Steffy’s mother, Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen).

Of course, the bullet that Finn took for his wife was intended for Steffy, with Sheila’s second shot nearly killing Wood’s character.

Sheila can think whatever she wants. But Steffy is set to set new rules that will test Sheila’s resolve in ways that have not been tested before on B&B.
