The Bold and The Beautiful spoilers and updates tease that Li Finnegan’s (Naomi Matsuda) unwavering loyalty to her son is in jeopardy when she finds out the bitter truth.

Not only did her adopted son John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) turn his back on Kelly Spencer (Sophia Paras McKinlay) at the beach, he called Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) his mom!

Of course, with Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) stirring the pot every chance he gets, there’s no chance for objectivity concerning any bond Finn might or might not have with Sheila.

No one seems to want to admit that Sheila saved Kelly’s life and she could have died if she hadn’t seen her swallowed by the riptide and rushed to save her.

Instead, the focus is taken off the little life saved and the growing hatred is put directly on Finn who should have kept his eye on Kelly while taking the call.

Finn is being honest when she says Sheila is a hero, but no one seems to care about Kelly’s life being saved simply because of who did it. No matter how much he says if she hadn’t been there Kelly could have died, he just gets more and more accusation and shaming.

Li’s hatred of Sheila is so strong that she simply cannot abide this bitter truth, and lashes out at Finn-for one, he should have kept his eyes on Kelly.

For the other, if he hadn’t seen Sheila rushing by to save Kelly from drowning how does he know she wouldn’t have kidnapped her?

Why was she there, like she could be restrained from using a public beach, doesn’t he realize she was stalking him?

Pretty much everything he heard from Steffy Forrester-Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) earlier, he’s now hearing from Li, but by now she’s been told about the hug at the courthouse. Worst of all it gets back to her that he called Sheila his mom to Kelly, and also to Sheila.

When Li found out Jack Finnegan (Ted King) was Finn’s birth father, there was no forgiveness, no love, any love she had immediately turned to hate.

Finn is crushed when Li treats him exactly the same way she treated Jack, when he called Sheila a hero and his mom. Kelly may or may not be old enough to understand the concept of a birth parent that he met later in his life so what was he supposed to call Sheila?

Finn realizes how fickle his adoptive mother really is when she totally rejects him for calling Sheila a hero. But worse, she rejects him for calling Sheila his mom when Li considered herself his only mom!
