The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) could not let the woman he loves go. After telling Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) that she had to leave his apartment because the risk of being with her was too great, Deacon reversed course.

Lunch with his friend, Judge Evan Scott (Michael Corbett), created a classic eavesdropping scene. Sheila just so happened to be passing through Il Giardino’s main outdoor dining area when she spotted Deacon and the judge together.

That site was unexpected but what Sheila heard them discussing shocked her senses.

Judge Scott offered a windy precursor when telling the bulk of the crowd in his chambers that he appreciated their collective thoughts. He felt compelled to do that knowing that the event they anticipated was not going to happen.

Corbett’s character spoke loosely at the restaurant Deacon owned. That seemed odd. But it was coming from a judge who allowed a friendship to influence his ruling.

Devoted viewers recognized that another one of Sheila’s nine-plus lives was used to facilitate the dismissal of the murder charge against her.

The logical part of Deacon’s brain knew that being in contact with Sheila was wrong. But the connection persisted and eventually they became romantic.

Deacon also knew that a more serious relationship with Sheila, developed last fall when she invited herself to live in his apartment above Il Giardino. His heart prevented his mind from refusing to throw her out.

Nearly a year after Sheila memorably donned a Halloween-themed nurse’s uniform, in a partial wink to the nursing position Eric Forrester (John McCook) once hired her to fill at Forrester Creations in 1992, Deacon took his largest step yet.

Sheila knew Deacon cared for her and responded differently to him than other people. She was not angered when learning that he prevented her from leaving the premises when working with Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) and Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) so the authorities could apprehend her at Il Giardino.

Confirming that Deacon loves her was a watershed moment in Sheila’s life. While there are other men whom hardcore fans can cite, as having once loved Sheila, she believes Deacon is different.

Kindred souls for sure. Where Sheila’s storyline goes from this point in the plot is unknown. But the Deacon effect will continue to shape it in likely unexpected ways on B&B.
