One Life to Live alum and Call of Duty star Kamar de los Reyes died Christmas Eve at the age of 56 following a battle with cancer.
The handsome and talented actor was known to daytime fans for his work as Antonio Vega on the ABC soap opera One Life to Live. He later had a voice role in Call of Duty. On Monday a family spokesperson confirmed to
The Hollywood Reporter that the star died in LA on December 24.

It appears that Kamar’s cancer battle was kept private as its not known what type of cancer he had, or for how long. The date of diagnosis is also unknown.
He debuted as Antonio Vega on ABC’s Llanview, PA-based soap in 1995.

Initially Antonio was rough around the edges, he had been in a gang and falsely imprisoned for a killing that was self-defense, not murder. Kamar played out a three-year contract on OLTL and returned to the show in 2000.
Over the years Antonio progressed from his dark past to become a lawyer and later a member of law enforcement. He remained with the show until 2013 when it left the network.
Kamar was also recognized as the voice of villain Raul Menendez in the Call Of Duty videogames. Raul was introduced as a Nicaraguan arms dealer and terrorist who despised America.

Kamar portrayed the character across 2012’s Call of Duty: Black Ops II, 2018’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, 2019’s Call of Duty: Mobile and 2021’s Call of Duty: Vanguard.
He talked about his role with Shacknews Interviews in 2012: “I walked away from this experience knowing that I had just finished work on one of the most amazing projects I’ve ever been a part of.”
Kamar is also recognized for his portrayal of Jobe in the Fox series Sleepy Hollow in its fourth and final season in 2017.

Kamar’s resume included Oliver Stone’s 1995 film Nixon, where he portrayed burglar Eugenio Martinez He was featured as Tomas in Lisa France’s Love & Suicide in 2005, and in 2021 he starred on ABC series The Rookie where he played detective Ryan Caradine over a short arc.
This year he starred as a football coach on seven episodes of the highly-popular series All American.
Kamar is survived by his actress wife Sherri Saum whom he married in 2007. They share twin boys and he also has a son named Caylen from a previous relationship.
