General Hospital Spoilers: Is Diane’s Defense of Sonny Telling of Deeper Feelings She’s Harboring?
General Hospital spoilers tease that Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) had some strong words for Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) as she made her feelings for Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) quite clear.
Sonny is one of her very best friends, or so she claims. But is that all there is to it? Fans are starting to wonder if Diane has developed a more-than-friends affection for her client over the years that she hasn’t been honest about.
In fact, she may even be lying to herself. But will Robert see right through her as she continues to defend the mafioso — even when it looks very much like he is guilty as charged?
General Hospital Spoilers — Diane Doubles Down
Diane and Robert have had plenty of words over this issue in recent weeks. She can’t stand that he’s so gung-ho about putting Sonny away, and he is baffled by what the woman he admires so much thinks she sees in such a bad guy.
It’s no secret that Sonny is a renowned criminal, and he’s stellar at making sure there’s never enough evidence for him to get pinched.
But when Diane draws a line in the sand and lets Robert know he’ll have to respect her relationship with Sonny — or she’s out — it just might blow back in her face.
GH Spoilers Leak Robert Suffers a Setback
Robert may be ready to give into his lady love’s needs and table the discussion about Sonny for the time being. After all, there is plenty of time for him to celebrate — and even gloat — once he’s actually got Sonny behind bars.
His presumptions about his intended success are grating on Diane’s last nerve, and he doesn’t want to lose her — especially not over Sonny!
But when Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) backpedals on his testimony and decides he’s not going to be a cooperative witness, Robert will know right away that Sonny got to him somehow and silenced him.
Feeling fueled with rage at the utter injustice of it all, he won’t be able to keep his mouth shut as he intended.
General Hospital Spoilers — Reading Between the Lines
When Robert rattles off how furious he is that he won’t be prosecuting Sonny anymore for a crime he claims to know he committed, Diane might be a bit too showy with her delight over the situation for Robert’s taste.
When Diane has already won the war in the courtroom, but it’s not enough and she clearly wants Robert to concede to her support of Sonny outside of the courtroom too, it may become crystal clear to Robert that Diane is harboring more than friendly feelings toward the mob boss.
Will he have the nerve to call her on it? Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers as this storyline continues to develop.
