General Hospital Spoilers: Gregory’s ALS Rears Its Head Toward Violet — Will He Come Clean?

General Hospital spoilers reveal Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) has been suffering in silence with a diagnosis of ALS and doesn’t want his loved ones to know until they absolutely have to.

Is that time drawing nearer? The more that Gregory’s symptoms flare up, the more nervous he seems to grow that he soon won’t be able to hide what he’s going through.

It would be an understatement to say his sons — Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) and Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) — haven’t noticed his off behavior in recent months, but they still have no idea he’s struggling with a terminal illness.

And he doesn’t want them to. The longer Gregory can pull this off without his sons knowing his days are numbered, the better.

But will they see it that way? Rumor has it Gregory’s symptoms are going to be on full display soon in front of someone in his family, and it may leave him scrambling to make sense of what’s going on.

General Hospital Spoilers — Violet is Curious

Rumor has it Gregory is going to be playing the role of Grandpa to Violet Finn (Jophielle Love) when he starts to lock up and have another ALS attack.

Let’s hope he’s not holding her at the time, but it’s likely that the ever-so-perceptive Violet is going to take note of what is happening to her grandfather.

In the moment, she could call on the smartest man she knows — her dad, the doctor, Finn. Will Grandpa Gregory have to downplay his symptoms or resort to asking Violet to keep it a secret just to keep his sons on the outside of his diagnosis? Would he really stoop that low?

GH Spoilers Hint Finn Will Have Questions

If Violet manages to bring her dad into the situation, or if he’s already present, Finn is going to have some questions of his own.

It’s likely that Gregory is going to react defensively, as we have seen him do already toward Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot). But this may be where the rubber meets the road.

Gregory won’t have to confess to Finn, but he’s not going to downplay those symptoms enough to get his son — a doctor — to back off entirely without question.

General Hospital Spoilers — Is This the Time to Keep Chase in the Dark?

If Gregory ends up divulging the truth to Finn, it’s only fair that he does the same with Chase. But he may argue in favor of keeping quiet a while longer.

After all, he wasn’t intending to tell Finn for a long time, and he doesn’t see the need to disrupt Chase’s happy life with this grim news that won’t end well.
