Gladys is really tired of these soft interrogations from the mob boss. She’s not one of his lackeys that he can just order around at his will.

He can’t force her to tell him anything. And Gladys is lucky that he can’t! If Sonny knew what Gladys was up to, he would have her head. But when Sasha Gilmore Corbin (Sofia Mattson) is finally ready to stop lying to herself and asks Sonny for help in figuring out what Gladys’ problem is, he’s not going to go lightly on her as his investigation into her private life reveals she’s hanging out with the likes of Selina Wu (Lydia Look)!

When Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) and Damien Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) were railing against Gladys at the Metro Court pool, Selina couldn’t have happened upon them at a better time. Gladys already knew Cody was just trying to trick her into confessing to something she didn’t do, but she was letting him overplay his hand anyway. As she called his bluff, knowing she held all the cards, she watched Cody’s plan fall to pieces. Still, she was unnerved to learn a hot mic was nearby and that Cody really seemed to mean business about exposing her as a fraud — and a criminal. Fortunately, Gladys owes Selina far too much money for Selina to just let her go to jail. This time, she came through for Gladys — for now.

Selina might have Gladys’ back right now, but when Sonny learns about the kind of company Gladys is keeping, he’s going to wonder how she ended up in the same circles as Selina. What could they possibly have to do with one another apart from the exchange of Brando Corbin’s (Johnny Wactor) garage? Sonny might start second-guessing his decision to let things lie like he did when he caught Gladys getting “caught up” with Selina before.
