General Hospital Spoilers: Drew Briefs Carly — and Walks Away Concerned for Her More Than Himself
General Hospital spoilers tease Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) is going to update Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) with his plans to mitigate their issues with the SEC. In short, he’s ready to turn himself in. Carly isn’t going to like that option, but she also knows there aren’t many options on the table. Will Drew really martyr himself to the extent that he turns himself in so Carly doesn’t have to choose who she’ll turn her back on?
He knows she’s up against the wall — trying to choose between the man she’s falling in love with and the father of her children. Taking himself out of the equation would solve everyone’s problems but his own. But when Carly reacts with hesitation and tells Drew about Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) theory that they are being targeted just to get to him, he just might change his mind about his approach.
General Hospital Spoilers — Drew Was Willing to Go to Prison for Carly
Drew doesn’t want to place this burden on Carly. Life is hard enough without picking someone difficult to share it with, right? He wants a future with Carly, and although he wouldn’t ask her to wait for him if he goes to prison, he’s banking on her being willing to. Will she stick by his side when he goes away and pays for her mistake? Geesh, what would it look like if she didn’t?
GH Spoilers Claim He’s Not as Eager to Do Time for Sonny’s Sake
Carly’s honesty is going to pay in spades when Drew realizes she doesn’t quite feel the same way about him as he does about her. Sure, she’s willing to take the blame for her own crimes — which she admits she committed — but if Drew is going to give her an out, it looks like she’s going to take it. Moreover, is it possible she was only refusing to turn her back on Drew because of how that would look, not because she didn’t want to?
General Hospital Spoilers — Will Carly Turn On Him?
While Drew might not like the idea of paying for Sonny’s mistakes, he doesn’t want his family to pay that price either. He understands the position Carly is in — and trusts that she hates it as much as he does. In order for Carly to stay out of prison, Drew or Sonny have to do some hard time.
If Sonny goes away — even if he deserves it — his family will be in much more jeopardy than if Scout Cain (Cosette Abinante) misses out on Drew for a few years. Hey, she’s done it before, right? Drew might be rethinking his desire to save Carly’s skin when it’s clear she’s not willing to do the same for him, but where will that leave their relationship if they both manage to avoid persecution?
