General Hospital and soaps in general are no strangers to putting fans to sleep with boring and lackluster couples and one pair with tons of wasted potential is Harrison Chase and Brook Lynn Quartermaine.

Chase And Brook Lynn Could Have Been Passing Notes In Class

Chase (Josh Swickard) and Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) started out as a good thing but it took way too long for them to finally get together, making it a ho-hum moment when it finally happened. After acting like high school students afraid to text one another, they finally admitted they were in love, went on an actual date, and slept together.

However, we didn’t even get a love scene and don’t expect to see any in the future either. Instead, Chase and Brook Lynn can be called Chaste and Brook Lynn and now bore us to tears with their grating happiness and lack of passion.

Happily Ever After — So Now What?

Most of Chase and Brook Lynn’s romance, if one can even call it that, consisted of them being afraid to tell the other how they felt. Acting like two teenagers, it was more than a year of will they or won’t they? When they finally did, all we could do was yawn. Plus, togetherness did not last long.

Brook Lynn made the mistake of ignoring an email that could have led to Chase becoming a cop again much sooner and Chase couldn’t forgive that sin.

Even when Brook Lynn tried to make things right, Chase was too angry to listen to her. He finally had a moment of clarity but by the time that happened, nobody cared. Heck, Chase didn’t even care when he learned that Brook Lynn committed corporate espionage.

Now, the pair is planning a lackluster wedding for their lackluster romance and barely even kiss. They seem like best friends more than boyfriend and girlfriend.

While they don’t make us want to claw our eyes out like Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) and Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton), they do make us want to change the channel or hit the fast-forward button in search of something more interesting to watch.
