DOOL spoilers: The week of January 8, 2024 Brings A Stunning Exit
Steve Burton, who plays Harris Michaels, stunned the daytime world this week with the announcement that he is leaving DOOL and returning to GH.
This means that Salem is down another cop on a police force that is more Keystone Kops at times than it is a proper working force.
Burton filmed his last DOOL scenes in December to finish a one-year contract with the soap. Fans will see Harris onscreen through the summer.

Burton got his start in daytime on DOOL, back in 1988. He also played Harris in season two of the Peacock special, Beyond Salem: Chapter 2, that aired in 2022.

Burton left GH after declining to get Disney’s mandatory employee Covid vax. He left on good terms with the soap unlike the other GH vax declinee, Ingo Rademacher (Jasper Jacks).
Fans are over the moon that Stone Cold Jason Morgan is returning to Port Charles where he will be once again large and in charge as Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) right hand man.
