Li had started counseling with Dr. Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) and told her about his high school sweetheart, a girl named Xiao-Xing (uncast).

But she was from a lower-class working family, and when Wei Shin (Clyde Kusatsu) found a love note from Li to Xiao, he broke up the high school lovers.

He paid her and her father to move far away where he provided her father with a low paying job, telling Li he had disgraced the family with the relationship.

But did Wei know something about Xiao-Xing that she hadn’t told Li before he found out? Might her father and Wei’s wife have been in on the move and the breakup too-nothing’s more disgraceful to a proud Asian family than a teenage pregnancy!

DOOL Spoilers: Wei Shin Way Overreacted To Li Shin And Wendy Shin’s Living Arrangements

A few months back, Li, Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus) and Wendy were all living with Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) and Wei way overreacted.

He noticed attraction between Wendy and Tripp before even they did, and he was very upset over it, threatening to transfer Wendy to a faraway DiMera office again.

Li assured him nothing untoward would happen because they were all roommates but that didn’t calm him down; luckily everything worked out and Wei went back home.

If Wei was upset over his son having a teenage romance, so much more over a daughter-or as the case may be, a granddaughter.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Why Wouldn’t Li Shin Know, And Where Is His Mother?

A big question would be why wouldn’t Li know Wendy was not his baby sister, and where was his mother at the time, and where is she now?

She’s never been mentioned or shown, and there’s a chance she’s no longer alive. Perhaps she was sent out of town along with Xiao-Xing and her father to help with the teenage birth, or angered, she left on her own-another disgrace for the Shins.

She may have been gone several months during Xiao’s pregnancy and brought baby Wendy back to save face.

That way Wei could say it was their daughter who was born when his wife was away, and Li and no one else would know she was Li’s daughter!
