Jackie Cox came and went just like that as legendary character Darius Rose Cooper. Fans first saw Darius when he busted up the nuptials of Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart). This time around he tried to make amends by doing Leo’s beau a solid.

The character offered Dimitri von Leuschner (Peter Porte) a way to avoid prison but the regal man chose to stay put.

With Dimitri in Statesville he will have plenty of company to interact with. On Monday, December 11 the convict shares scenes with Lucas Horton (Bryan R. Dattilo).

Will they become involved with Clyde Weston (James Read) at some point, since all are incarcerated for the holidays? We’ll have to wait and see if the joint has a Christmas Carol singalong.

Daytime Emmy nominee Cary Christopher has played Thomas DiMera but later this month the role will be taken by Henry Witcher. There is no word just yet as to whether or not this is a temp or permanent casting change.

Thomas is the son of Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn). Chad has been bad and may end up on Santa’s naughty list.
